I spy the coveted Banana Republic Heritage vest on these ladies:

On My style pill

On Simply Jules

The Glamourai

I knew I have to get one for myself. It’s such a versatile piece of clothing! Not to mention entirely suitable for our climate which is a sweltering 30 + degree Celsius throughout the year. Guess what I found on eBay? THIS:

It’s a total twin!!!! I wanted the vest. It had to be mine but there was other one person who bidded for it. So.. I bidded for it only 5 minutes before the auction ended. Scheming, sly, sneaky. I KNOW. Heheh!!! Somewhere, someone is cursing me. USD$6.95 excluding shipping cost which should be approximately USD$10. Still a VERY good buy! I’m waiting for the invoice from the seller. Fingers crossed. Please come to me safely. I love you already before I even met you!

I just bought the ring and necklace from
Forever 21. I seriously love them so much! The skirt was thrifted via Etsy. I think it’s kinda too long. Should I shorten it? I’m thinking of making it a modest mini, a few inches above the knee maybe.. Let me know what you think.
None of my shoes match this outfit. The white heels are okay but not fantastic. What colour do you suggest? On another note, I ordered two pairs of saltwater sandals about two to three weeks ago. They are here but I missed the postman yesterday and now have to drive all the way to the other side of the island to pick it up at the post office -_-!!
On a totally irrelevant note to the above post, I would like to whine about a dent on my shin. I had a fall about two months ago. One foot down into the drain because it was too dark. I scraped my shin against the drain cover. And now it looks like there’s a permanent dent and scar on my shin. It’s so annoying!!
And.. Oh.. And.. I cut my hair real short. I love it 10% of the time. 80% of the time I not sure. The last 10% of the time, I HATE IT.. Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!

I thrifted the cardigan sometime ago for a dollar. A dollar! It looked almost brand new except for a small patch of mildew stain at one corner. That was removed easily using Vanish. I wore it for a while today but the weather was so warm it was removed and kept in my bag the entire day. This just further cements my decision not to get a boyfriend/ boys’ jacket. It would just be another white elephant in my wardrobe. I am tempted to clear my wardrobe by selling some items online. I may just do that..

The gingham is a DIY using a tank pattern by Grainline Even though I referred to the sizing chart, it turned out too small and too short.:( Nonetheless, it’s cute and reminds me of my kindergarten uniform.

I just bought the top at Bugis Village this afternoon. If you are visiting Singapore, forget about shopping at Orchard Road. It’s lined with international brands that you can find back home. Head down to Bugis Village for shopping that won’t hurt your pocket. I got this top for SGD15. Do you find the trousers familiar? It’s this pair I thrifted! I took in the legs and shortened it. I’m really quite happy with this item, I’m quite sure it hasn’t been worn before. $3 for an almost new item. Yeah!!!!

Going to submit this for Spunky Chateau’s Thursdays are for Thrifters Link Party and ebew!!! I didn’t realize until sometime after this post that I have pattern mixed stripes and plaids. I am really not comfortable with pattern mixing. Somehow two prints are just too busy for me, but this works!!!

Remember the jeans I thrifted? I snipped them off to make denim shorts for my eternal summer days.

It’s not completely done yet. I’m waiting for my next trip to the craft shop to get a nautical themed button for it. The brown plastic button is an eyesore really.

A bit more work for this pair, the jeans was oversized, so I had to raise the crotch as well. I quite like the lace detail and scalloped edge.

Brown trousers looks almost new and cost $3, the jeans is $4. The plan is to make a pair of shorts out of the jeans and a pair of cropped trousers from the brown trousers. What would you do with them?

This pair of flares cost $4 and it is still in very good condition. I want to make a pair of shorts out of it but it can be altered to my size as it is.. What do you think?

The last one cost me $1 . It’s an Alfred Sung silk skirt. Unfortunately, the colour ran when I washed it. What should I do with it?

I have some ideas what to do with these finds but would love to hear your opinions.
