It was a tunic/ short short dress, then I chopped off the top and made it a skirt. But I hardly wear skirts nowadays , so I cut it up once again and made it into a pair of shorts instead. There isn’t enough cloth for the back pattern so I joined a piece of rectangle at the crotch which I thought is fine since it isn’t visible.

The pattern is actually from modified from a store bought pattern. You can draft your own easily by tracing from an existing pair of shorts.

This pair from CHLOÉ cost a bomb! How much is a bomb? £1079.11!! I couldn’t pay that kind of money! So I got my leatherette fabric and got down to making my own. Could have made 2 pairs with one metre of cloth but I messed up the first one. Leatherette is not easy to work with. Unlike fabric, unpicking will leave unsightly holes so no allowance for mistakes at all! Any way it is done. Took just about 45 minutes. Hem was left raw since the fabric doesn’t fray.

I didn’t use any commercial pattern. I simply traced an existing pair of shorts that fits. I really like how they turn out! And just in time for Chinese New Year!

This is not an original idea. I saw something similar while browsing Etsy and thought I could make it too. Hope my little darling will enjoy playing with it as much as I enjoyed making it. I didn’t have a pattern but just figured out how as I went along. Maybe if I have the energy, I’ll make a hamburger set with fries too!

Saw this on Honestly WTF sometime ago.

Finally got down to doing it. I did mine a little differently, instead of just winding it around, I tied a figure of 4 knot so that it’s more secured. Used a clasp instead of the hex nut. The chain turned out a little too short for 5 rounds and too long for 4. So I added a short chain and ta-dah!! Done!

And here is THE bracelet from Chan Luu that inspired it all:

£255 VS SGD$2. * clap*clap*clap
